Plastics processing


Plastics processing is an important part of the industry in general. We're a reliable supplier to plant manufacturers in this industry. Our products are used in manufacturing plastic materials and compounds in a wide variety of applications.

An example from manufacturing bonded sheets for the composite material as the basic product in manufacturing instrument panels for the automotive industry:

Extrusion:

  • Regulating the temperatures in the individual extruders to the optimal processing temperature.
  • Plastic granulate is turned into a homogeneous mass which can be rolled out for immediate
  • further processing in the roll-out process

Calendering process:

  • Regulating the temperature to the optimal processing temperature during the 1st pre-stage.
  • After the extrusion process a film of the respective thickness and width is produced for further processing and then immediately transferred to the stretching process.

Stretching process:

  • Regulating the temperature for the individual stretching stages to the optimal processing temperature using secondary heating / cooling circuit regulators, until the film has the final width and thickness.
  • During the stretching process the thicker film is rolled out to the desired size whilst gradually giving it the desired film width. (The stretch process is dependent on technology / otherwise continue to fusing)

Fusing:

  • Regulating the temperature for the individual fusing stages to the optimal processing temperature using secondary heating / cooling circuit regulators, until the composite film has the final thickness.
  • After being fused, several plastic films made from one material, but with different mechanical properties, form the plastic composite, which meets the requirements for further processing into instrument panels with respect to rigidity, machinability, thermal resistance, etc.

Surface treatment:

  • Regulating the temperature of the embossing roller to the optimal processing temperature through secondary heating circuit regulators
  • Pattern rollers emboss the respective pattern is rolled into the surface of the film which is later visible.

Power plant:

Heating the heat transfer mediums required for the production process, thermal oil or hot water
